Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, David Smith’s passion for interior design began early. At just six years old, he redesigned his bedroom, trading childish motifs for plaid and stripes—a transformation inspired by Ralph Lauren that sparked a lifelong appreciation for thoughtful, expressive spaces.

Design runs in his DNA. Influenced by his mother, an interior designer, David formally entered the industry in 1998, working alongside her and refining his craft through years of hands-on experience. David Smith designs interiors that feel considered, timeless, and quietly luxurious.
